Oh, How We Laughed!

Well, in the class that I had my unfortunate outburst in, we had a hearty laugh today. I apologized again for going a little nuts. They were very good and seemed to understand. "Miss (used to refer to all but men, so much so that I use it to refer to other teachers), I never saw you that mad before. You almost poked a hole in your Smartboard!" I laughed. They were talking about how weird it was that I got so mad yesterday, but that I was laughing about it today. I told them that everybody acts like an idiot from time to time and if you can't laugh at it, well, you're missing out on a good laugh!

To me, I'm teaching trig, but more importantly, I'm trying to equip these kids for life. And that's what's REALLY important.

The Child has been going through this whine-mania thing. He will just commence to whining when he doesn't get his way. Oh, awesome it is!

Gonna run a little later . . . maybe?

Happy, Healthy Me!

Okay, I was able to drive with the top down today, which was very nice. I taught The Child the expression "not a cloud in the sky" today, too. Score on both. He can not only push the buttons, but he is very good at helping me latch the top back on. I'm sure he's a raging genius.

I ran outside yesterday and today. 3.5 miles on both days, running all but the first five minutes and the end bit. I feel as if I'm conquering the world. Love it!

I am going to stop here, since I'd like to go to bed. Planning on around 3 miles tomorrow. We'll see if they materialize. I may walk, just to give a little relief.

Nice End to Spring Break Week

Okay, today I did very little. I have gone through some more stuff. This will go on for quite some time. I actually got to go out to our storage unit and get the warm weather clothes out and replace them with the cold (well, as cold as it gets here which is not very) weather clothes. I also got out the sandals. This means that there will be a cold front coming this way. That's okay.

I am hoping for a good report and small bill from the folks fixing my car. The guy must've been on spring break, since he was off as I was last week. It should be a fuel filter or sensor of some kind. Please, oh please, oh please, let it be C-H-E-A-P!

The Child is at his dad's home, so it's been VERY quiet around here. Supermom is in there working on some silly paper for her creative arts class. It seems quite ridiculous. Most things she does without complaint, but she's been pretty vocal about how silly this one is. Reason #2554 I'm glad that I didn't go through a traditional school of education.

The Child Has Been with Us TWO Years (as of yesterday)

This picture is of The Child and my brother, The Hero. The Child, whose birth I witnessed, is a total wonder. He's SO smart. He LOVES instruments and can identify trumpet music. He loves drums, so Supermom got him one. He is the sweetest thing! Supermom said that after she got finished getting ready he took her face in his hands and said, "Pretty." He loves to "read" his Jesus book. He must read "Minewva," which I often pronounce as Minerva (Nobody Notices Minerva). He really likes "Queen" who is Lightning McQueen of Cars. He also likes Mater almost as much.

He can make you crazy by slinging food, seemingly at will. He can make your heart glow by calling you "Two," though we still don't know why he's named me this.

He is a total blessing, but a TON of hard work for Supermom.

Thank you, God for The Child!

You've Got to Be Kidding Me, Nobel Committee!

Now that the warring factions of weather have been settled by the AWESOME Al Gore, I am going to sleep SO much better! What are they talking about? I cannot believe the Nobel Peace Prize went to Al Gore?!? IF you buy into his doomsday weather scenario, that's fine. I have no problem with that. I find it difficult to believe that God would allow us to destroy the earth He created, but if you are open to that, so be it. But come on Alists, Gorists, Global Warmalists, or whatever you call yourselves! I thought they believed that George Bush caused hurricane Katrina. Regardless, why is weather considered in the peace category? Help me out on this, PLEASE. I know a pack of winners, including Jimmy "I Can't Shut Up Bad-Mouthing My Own Country" Carter has received this award, so it's credibility with me has been diminished greatly, but at least he did something with people who were disagreeing.

On another front (no weather pun intended), last night Snoopy and I went over to Fiona's and enjoyed a dinner and just basic conversation. It was very fun. We wound up watching Friday Night Lights rather than going to the football game. I got home around 11:00p.m. and fell into bed.

I was awakened by The Child hollering "Nin, Nin." That's what he calls me now. He used to call me "Two." We've never been able to determine why that was my name, but that's the first thing he ever called me. The Child also now has his own bed. I told him I went in last night and saw him sleeping in his big-boy bed. I asked him how he liked his bed. His response, "Cool, cool," while nodding his head in agreement with himself. It's a little more than a month until his 2nd birthday and I don't know what Supermom and I are going to do with him. He is so funny now. God bless his future teachers. He basically has NO chance of being cordial with the sarcasm around here. Well, I guess I can hope for the best.

I forgot to DVR Pushing Daisies and something else I can't remember. I guess the I can't remember one doesn't need to be DVRed, upon reflection. And I can probably watch Pushing Daisies online, if it's that important.

I'm going to a picnic this afternoon, so I'm gonna go get ready so I can run some errands before I go!

Have a fantasic Saturday!

Today is SOME better.

Well, if only because I decided it would be! I walked three miles with an injured Snoopy. That was a highlight. My room still needs to be finished up. Go time is Friday.

The Child and Supermom visited school today and everybody cooed and ahhed about him. He actually was very cute, but then there is the bias that I have. I was really glad Supermom brought him. There were people who didn't believe he existed. They have been appropriately corrected.

Signing off a TIRED person.
